Baking up a storm
The Community United Bake Sale is tomorrow, and so far I have a double batch of Russian Tea Cake dough in the refrigerator, and a pan of prepared brownie batter, also in the fridge. I also have about 3 dozen oatmeal raisin cookies, and another pan of brownies just coming out of the oven. I am going to see if I can get off work a couple hours early, because I still have quite a bit of baking to do. The brownies are my extra specialty-- they are turtle espresso brownies, made from a doctored up Betty Crocker basic brownie recipe, except I use cocoa, espresso grounds, pecans, and carmel ice cream syrup. These things are amazing. It's a good thing they are not staying in my house.
This weekend I also got myself prepared for about 35 trick or treaters. It is my first Halloween in my apartment, so I hope it is enough. Tomorrow, Thursday, and Saturday I will need to head to the gym, and I still have to prepare my submission of my novel sometime this week. Right now, I have get out the door in about 20 miunutes, and quick feed my daughter's guinea pig since she stayed at her grandma's last night. No school today-- the staff is planning something. Aren't we all? Until Later. GLB 2007-10-29 11:21:18 GMT
